Literacy Festival

What a way to finish up Term 2!

Wesley Primary's Literacy Festival kicked off last Wednesday and finished up today. Our focus author in Room 4 was Melanie Drewery. We also put a lot of time and effort into Poetry Slam and Speeches.
Here are a couple of images of our Literacy Festival display.

We not only wrote our own poems but presented them. We had to think about including body language, gestures, pauses for effect and altering our voice to set the tone.

    1. hi my name is keren Wow! the colors that come from your post are really vibrant! I've made lots of poems before. A thing that you could do better, is that you could probably put in a bit more text so that it balances out the largess and the amount of images and photos. Have you ever done something like this before? If so, then how many poems did you make? Another thing you could do is add SISOMO (which is sight sound and motion). To sum it all up, Great job.

  8. Hi i'm Solly from Awahono School I like that you are writing poems because I think poems are creative, and fun to write. Maybe next time you could take a photo that shows the words little better.
